Dean Misczynski is a research network member at the PPIC Water Policy Center and an independent consultant. His PPIC publications include Fixing the Delta: How Will We Pay for It? Previously, he was the founding director of the California Research Bureau, where he managed research projects in a broad range of state policy areas. Before that, he served for a decade as a committee and research consultant with the California State Senate, where he concentrated on legislation concerning infrastructure financing, wrote California’s Mello-Roos Act, and worked on several other capital financing laws. He holds an MA and a BA in economics from Stanford University.
